Learning about learning is vital!

When children first come to understand that learning can rewire the brain and increase their intelligence, they often become more interested in learning and less afraid to do learning activities that might involve risk or challenge. In other words, they understand about meta-cognition and develop a growth mindset. Teachers can help students develop a growth mindset by teaching them about the amazing properties of the brain.

Research shows that children who have confidence in themselves as learners are, by far, the most successful students.
