Broadfields... at a glance

Broadfields is a large primary school in Edgware.

We are an independent academy directly funded by the government, managed by a charity whose trustees and members are local people and parents.

As a result, we are totally committed to delivering schooling that is tailored to our wonderful, diverse community in Edgware.

Broadfields is consistently in the top 20% of schools in terms of the progress of our Y6 leavers.

As a large school, we can offer a wider than normal range of provision -

Smaller than normal class sizes for English and Maths lessons, tailored to the needs of the group through acceleration and enrichment (Y2 onwards)

We have specialist teachers in the areas of Maths, Reading, Music, Forest School and autism

PE, games and sport are taught by a dedicated teacher, assisted by sports coaches

Through our Broadening Minds programme, children learn about art, science, drama and dance in wonderful venues around London.

Children are taught computer coding.

Our Forest School provides children with a wide understanding of the natural world.

We arrange for older children to take English Speaking Board exams to develop their presentation skills.

Optional free lessons for more able students and those interested in music, art, chess and sport continue until 4:30pm.

Children can attend between 7:55am and 6:00pm. Child care rates are kept low. The school never profits from parents.

Our beautiful school building was completed in 2012 and is located in wonderful countryside north of Edgware.

Most importantly though, Broadfields is a happy, positive school where children achieve well and enjoy the early years of their lives.

This is not an institution where children are commodities, but where they are recognised as valued individuals.

Really the whole website is our full prospectus! But the best thing to do is to come and visit, you will be welcome!
